Client accounts are free on Simply Static Studio. You invite them via the team management feature, and if they don’t have an account already, we’ll send them an invite link via e-mail:

Secure but easy login

Basic Authentication and our firewall protect WordPress installations.

This usually makes things more challenging, as you will have difficulty getting anywhere by just typing yourdomain.com/wp-admin. That’s why we implemented a one-click magic login into Simply Static Studio:

We automatically handle all the security-related stuff behind the scenes:

• a login link is only available for 30 seconds before expiring
• links aren’t shareable as we authenticate against the user logged in (no man-in-the-middle attacks)
• We use a passwordless approach and don’t store your credentials anywhere

We’ve done our homework, and security is one of our highest priorities.

Connect Domains

The next step is getting this website live.

That’s why we implemented a straightforward approach to connecting custom domains – all it needs is a single DNS entry.

Given that we use CNAMEs (and not A-Records), you can expect the connection to happen almost immediately – gone are the days of having a 24-hour downtime and angy customers calling you in the middle of the night:

Manage submissions like a boss

Simply Static Studio stores form submissions directly inside your WordPress installation without sending the data to any third-party provider. We are GPDR-and CCPA-compliant because we care about those little details.

We’re using the WordPress Rest API of your installation to make that work.
It includes security checks, spam cleanup, and everything else you would expect from a full-blown form tool.

We send the site owner an email notification each time a new submission is received, including a magic login link for quick access.

Backups

We run fully automated daily backups of your website and store them remotely.

This ensures high data integrity and helps with potential disaster recovery (Remember AWS being down for 24 hours?).

SSH & SFTP

We only allow secure connections via an SSH public key.

This is usually a one-off task: create the key, send it to us, and we store it for all future sites.
WP-CLI is pre-installed on all our sites, and we have a fantastic WP-CLI integration for Simply Static.

No lock-in

Every website running on Simply Static Studio can be exported and hosted anywhere else.
