We’re excited to announce a complete overhaul of our pricing structure. After listening to your feedback and analyzing how you use Simply Static, we’ve created a pricing model that’s clearer, fairer, and better aligned with the value you get from the platform.
What’s Changing?
Our new pricing is built around three key resources:
- Sites – The number of static WordPress sites you can host
- Storage – How much space your sites can use
- Bandwidth – How much data your sites can transfer
This means you get clear limits for each resource, making it easy to understand what you’re paying for and when you might need to upgrade.
Why We Made This Change
1. Transparency
Previously, our pricing was based solely on the number of sites. But not all sites are created equal – a simple blog uses far fewer resources than a large media site with thousands of images.
The new model reflects actual resource usage, making pricing more transparent and fair.
2. Better Value Alignment
You should pay for what you use. If you have a few large sites, you’ll be on a different tier than someone with many small sites. This ensures everyone gets the best value for their specific needs.
3. Room to Grow
With clear storage and bandwidth limits, you can see exactly how much headroom you have before needing to upgrade. This helps you plan your growth and avoid surprise upgrades.
4. Industry Standard
Most hosting and SaaS platforms are priced based on resources consumed. We’re aligning with industry best practices to make it easier to compare and budget.
The New Pricing Tiers
Here’s an overview of our new structure:
| Sites | Storage | Bandwidth/Month | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 site | 1 GB | 250 GB | $11 |
| 3 sites | 3 GB | 500 GB | $27 |
| 5 sites | 5 GB | 1 TB | $38 |
| 10 sites | 10 GB | 2 TB | $60 |
| 15 sites | 15 GB | 3 TB | $87 |
| 25 sites | 25 GB | 6 TB | $130 |
| 50 sites | 50 GB | 12 TB | $163 |
| 100 sites | 100 GB | 24 TB | $326 |
We know bandwidth is a rather abstract metric, so we kept the limits high (much higher than most hosting companies), so you most likely will never have to worry about it.
What This Means for Existing Customers
We deeply value your trust and loyalty. Here’s how we’re handling the transition:
Automatic Upgrades
Most existing customers are being automatically upgraded to 2x their current tier at no additional cost.
Why? Because our new storage and bandwidth limits are more aggressive than before, we want to ensure you have plenty of room to grow without being forced to upgrade immediately.
Your Pricing is Locked
If you’re on a legacy plan, you’ll keep your current pricing until:
- You add more sites than your plan allows
- You exceed your storage limit
- You exceed your bandwidth limit
When any of these happen, you’ll simply upgrade to the next appropriate tier. No surprises, no forced changes.
What Triggers an Upgrade?
You’ll need to upgrade when you hit any of these limits:
- Sites – You want to add one more site than your plan allows
- Storage – Your total site storage exceeds your limit
- Bandwidth – Your monthly bandwidth usage exceeds your limit
The system will notify you when you’re approaching any limit, giving you time to plan.
Monitoring Your Usage
We’re adding new tools to help you track your resource usage:
- Dashboard Overview – See your sites, storage, and bandwidth usage at a glance
- Usage Alerts – Get notified when you hit any of these limits directly in the dashboard

You can click the new usage widget, and it will open our pricing plan overview, showing your current plan and offering a quick way to upgrade to the next tier:

Why This is Better for You
More Predictable Costs
You can see exactly what you’re using and what you’re paying for. No hidden resource consumption, no unexpected charges.
Natural Growth Path
As your business grows, the upgrade path is clear. Need more sites? More storage? More bandwidth? Each trigger is obvious and justified.
Better Performance
By aligning pricing with resources, we can invest more in infrastructure to ensure your sites are fast and reliable.
Flexibility
Have a few large sites? You’ll be on a tier with more storage and bandwidth. Have many small sites? You’ll be on a tier optimized for site count. The pricing matches your actual usage pattern.
Frequently Asked Questions
What if I exceed a limit?
Your sites won’t go down. We’ll notify you and ask you to upgrade within 7 days. During this grace period, your sites continue to function normally.
Can I downgrade?
Yes! If you’re using less than your tier allows, you can downgrade at any time. The change takes effect at your next billing cycle.
What about bandwidth overages?
We believe in predictable pricing. If you consistently exceed your bandwidth, we’ll suggest upgrading to a higher-bandwidth tier rather than charging overage fees.
How is storage calculated?
Storage is calculated entirely based on the number of files and pages hosted on our CDNStands for Content Delivery Network. It’s a system of distributed servers that deliver web content quickly to users base….
WordPress, your database, and backups aren’t added on top of your storage.
What if I need custom limits?
Contact us! For customers with unique needs (e.g., 200 sites, or massive bandwidth requirements), we can create custom plans.
