Welcome to another update from Simply Static Studio – we’ve added 2-factor authentication and CDN-level redirects.
2FA
You can now protect your entire account with two-factor authentication (2FA).
This will not only enhance the security of your Static Studio account but also improve your WordPress login security. You will find it in the account modal:

Once you click “Enable Authenticator”, all that’s left to do is scan the QR code in your preferred app, and you’re done:

CDN-level redirects
Another neat little feature is our new CDN-level redirects.
While we automatically convert redirects from WP to static, sometimes you need something more flexible – that’s where our CDN-level redirects come into play.
The redirects are performed directly on the edge without even requesting the HTML file – it’s faster, it’s more flexible, and it’s easy to set up:
Simply click on the new icon in the “Static Site” column to open the redirect editor:

You can set up redirects using relative paths or absolute URLs (such as affiliate links):

That’s it for now – we are continuing to bring more features to the dashboard over the next few weeks – right now we focus on two things:
- Backups (create/download/restore)
- SFTP/SSH access (adding/removing the SSH public keys and assigning them to sites).
As always, your feedback is greatly appreciated – do you feel something is missing? Let us know!
