# Static Studio – More Automation

Another update was released for Static Studio today, including a couple of updates and bug fixes, but mostly to streamline your Static WordPress journey with more automation.

## Bug Fixes

This one is relatively quick:

- Running exports from the dashboard are now progressing in real-time

- Our domain connector now supports all kinds of subdomains, not only WWW

## More Automation

Time is always precious, and we strive to make the process of running a Static WordPress setup as smooth as possible.

This time, we focused on making things faster and more automated by doing three things:

### Auto-Switch to Export Changes

We noticed that many users were unaware of the fact that we support different export modes and run full exports for even the most minor changes – that is not necessary!

In Simply Static -> Generate, you have the option to select different export modes:

#### **Export**

This is what most of you already know – it runs a full export of your entire website and pushes it to our CDN.

#### **Export Changes**

This is what should be used after you finish your initial export. Why? Well, it’s faster, a lot faster.

We keep track of all the files and pages inside our custom database table and store a file hash (a unique string representing the file content).

Once you run an “Export Changes” export, we will compare all pages/files we’ve found with the existing versions in the database and only push what has changed – smart, hm?

We have made it the default selection now, so you don’t have to remember it; it’s just there when you need it.

### Auto-Push media files

We have automated the export process for files you upload to the media library.

Each time you upload a new image, video, PDF (or whatever else you might want to upload), we automatically push it to our CDN: no more missing files, faster exports, and one less thing to worry about.

### Auto-Single-Exports

Some of you might have noticed the meta box when editing posts, pages, or any CPT, which allows you to push the current post to your static site quickly:

This is now entirely optional.

Simply hit “Save” in your editor of choice (yes, it also works with Elementor), and we will schedule a single export containing all your changes, performing it with a short delay (30 seconds).

**Why the delay? **

Well, let’s say you found a typo after hitting save. It’s pretty neat to have some time to make quick changes before the post goes live, no?
